In order to gain access to the qualification a student must have the following (Minimum Requirement Criteria):
National Senior Certification (NSC) or National Certificate Vocational (NCV) with at least the following ratings:
English home language 3 (40-49%) or English first additional language 4 (50-59%); and
Mathematics 3 (40-49%) or Math Literacy 5 (60-69%).
The student must have met the minimum criteria for admission to a bachelor’s degree programme at a higher education institution.
Students who matriculated before 2007 must have a Senior Certificate (Grade 12) with university exemption; and
Achievement in Mathematics must be at least 40% on higher grade or 50% on standard grade.
RPL: Mature Students (+23 years of age)
Mature age exemption (over 23 years old)
Recognised unrelated school or tertiary qualifications and/or
Proven industry experience at reputable organisations (a minimum of 5 years of learning through experience & in-service training done)
Motivational Essay addressed to the Katapult Principal: addressing skills, experiences (role and task) within the workplace, personal values and prior learning (knowledge)
CV with contactable references
Motivational letter from place of employment (or last previous place of employment if currently unemployed) referencing their conduct, work ethic and competencies
Additional supplementary documentation as indicated on the Application Forms
The Katapult Quality Assessment Committee (QAC) must determine that 60% of the specific module outcomes have been met up to a maximum of 60 credits or 3 modules, whichever is the greater
